How to apply for a place at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School

Parents wishing to apply for a place at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School must complete a copy of our Supplementary Information Form (which can be downloaded from the policies section of the website) and return it to school along with the child’s birth certificate and baptism certificate (for Catholic Applicants). We will photocopy these documents and return them to you. When we receive these we will add your child to our waiting list.  Please note: This does not mean your child has been allocated a place at school.

Applicants for future admissions (to start school in Reception Class) will need to fill in a Common Preference form the year before your child is due to start school which will be sent to you from Leeds City Council.

If you have any queries regarding admission to school please telephone the school office on 0113 336 8003 or drop by and the office will be very happy to help.  Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by prior arrangement.

Application Procedure and Timetable

Applications must be submitted to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School or to Leeds City Council Primary Admissions on the Common Preference Form, by Friday 15th January 2016.  The school's Supplementary Information Form should be submitted by the same date to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School.

Failure to complete the Common Preference Form would mean that the application is not valid and failure to complete the school's Supplementary Information Form could mean that the applicant is placed in the last criteria.

  • Parents/Guardians will be advised of the outcome of their applications on Monday 18th April 2016.
  • Acceptance forms must be completed and returned to school by Tuesday 3rd May 2016.
  • Appeals for preferred schools must be submitted by Monday 16th May 2016.

Please see the School Policies section in the top right hand side of the page where you will find the admissions policy and supplementary form.
