In November 2023, Ofsted described us as a “close-knit, caring and vibrant school. Staff have built a community with kindness and compassion at its core. Pupils beam with pride when they talk about their school and share everything that makes it a happy place to be. They are polite and considerate to each other, staff and visitors. Pupils live the school’s values through their actions. Everyone is welcome.”
We have high aspirations for all children to be the best versions of themselves and fulfil their potential. Our curriculum stretches and challenges pupils, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to make a valuable contribution to the society in which we live. We foster a commitment to lifelong learning that involves enjoyment, hard work and fun.
Nothing is more important to us than who your child becomes. As Oscar Romero said:
"We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise."
Our outdoor provision is exceptional, with large green playing fields, and separate playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces for Reception, key stage 1, and key stage 2. Inside, there are light, spacious, and refurbished classrooms, a well-stocked library, and generous access to ICT equipment for all children. Our extra-curricular after school clubs (including football, board games, debating) increase access to sports and physical exercise, challenge the children mentally, prepare them for inter-school competitions, offer opportunities to embed existing skills or learn new skills, and develop self-confidence. And for those parents who need it, our wraparound provision includes a breakfast club from 8.00am, and after school childcare until 6.00pm.
