List of Policies

Welcome to Sacred Heart School. Everyone in school hopes that your child will have a happy and fruitful time here learning everything they need to grow and develop into a confident, happy and successful Year 6 child.

As a Catholic school our faith supports everything we do; we believe that everyone is unique, should be valued as an individual and enabled to reach their potential in all areas of school life. To achieve this we expect high standards from the staff and children alike.

We are committed to developing a strong partnership between parents/carers and school. We believe this partnership is based on mutual respect and understanding for the different role that we play in children’s lives. Children do better at school when their parents show interest in what they are doing and support them in their learning. This can take many forms from hearing your child read to talking about what they have done in school
that day and what they have learned.

The staff aim to teach the knowledge and skills relevant to the needs of all our pupils, developing positive attitudes towards learning so that children have confidence in their own abilities and strive for greater achievements.
